Xiaoli Yao

She is a university teacher who also counsels students.  She says, "There are many students who counselled bereavement, but I could never come to terms with the whole death thing because of what I went through.  My grandma's death, my dad's death, my husband's brother's brain haemorrhage.  Because I couldn't get over it myself, I couldn't counsel students about bereavement."  But then she said, "Seeing what young people are saying about death now, that they are trying to face it, trying to talk about it, it's like I'm slowly coming to terms with discussing the topic of death as well."
